Team,
We were really impressed by the team performance last night! Our distance medley relay (Zach Stollings, Noah Roemer, Everett Shultz, and Hudson Joseph) broke our Pearce record with a time of 10:58 and our 4x200m relay (Emmy Gardner, Ashlyn Burrows, Bailey Strain, and Kara Nieman) finished in 1st! Thank you ALL also for being on time for the bus, checking out, cleaning up your area, not missing ANY races, and putting in effort. That's a big win for a first meet! I am so excited to see what this team accomplishes this year based on what we saw!
This upcoming week, we have Mustang Round-Up at 5:45 pm in the gym. Our track team will be introduced so I would like as many athletes there as possible. Our seniors will also get to say their name so would love for all seniors to attend!
10% off Fleet Feet for our team and families ends this Sunday!
We have another meet this week that will take place on Friday and Saturday. Tickets must be purchased in advance as there will be no cash sales at the gate. Here is all the meet info including ticket information: https://tx.milesplit.com/meets/574282-mckinney-boyd-relays-meet-is-full-2024. You CANNOT park in the baseball parking lot on Friday as there will be a baseball game going on (northside of stadium).
Please see our schedule for the week which also includes bus leave times for the meet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17mrcZ4Sg7VD_8SDVIflTfA-nPb5SzlZgZpCVQRzxMC8/edit#gid=0
Can't wait to watch y'all again next week!

Team,
Spiritwear has arrived!! We will hand out orders at practice on Monday.
Meet season has also arrived! The meet info for the DUBEast Relays is linked in our schedule. Athletes will be released from class at 2:15 pm to load the bus. If you plan to take your athlete home from the meet, they MUST sign out with Coach Carter. They also have to have the transportation on file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qZsKbOd-9WFBYV3xURO8qsjfBmVQLIYE/view?usp=drive_link. I will bring extras to the meet as well. All athletes have access to the meet sheet in Google Classroom. They should already know if they are running or not based on that sheet. No field events. We will hand out uniforms this week at practice to those competing in the meet.
We will provide snacks at the meet. Please pay your one-time $15 snack fee here if you have not yet: https://pearceathletics.membershiptoolkit.com/packet/96633
Because there are no field events at this meet, throwers will practice at RHS on Monday/Wednesday and at Pearce on Tuesday/Thursday. Please see the schedule for all field and running practice times this week: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17mrcZ4Sg7VD_8SDVIflTfA-nPb5SzlZgZpCVQRzxMC8/edit#gid=0
10% off at Fleet Feet starts tomorrow and ends on 2/10!! This is for our runners and their families!
Next Monday (2/12), Mustang Round-Up starts at 5:45 in the big gym. Our team will be recognized at this event and we would like as many of our athletes as possible to attend and represent us. Our seniors will get the opportunity to introduce themselves as well.
Lots of info! Please let me know if you have any questions! Cannot wait to watch our kids compete this week!

Team,
The coaches were so impressed with our week of practice and we appreciate everyone's efforts on our first full week of practice! We've got one more full week of practice until we get started with our meets.
Here is the next two weeks schedule: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17mrcZ4Sg7VD_8SDVIflTfA-nPb5SzlZgZpCVQRzxMC8/edit#gid=0. The meet info for the Wylie East meet is linked in there as well. This week, our jumps practices will be in the morning, but with how nice the weather is supposed to be, we may have some after school opportunities for extra work for those that want to come. We will communicate those opportunities at morning practice and text it out through SportsYou as well.
Throwers will be at RHS Monday and THURSDAY this week due to a schedule conflict. We will switch back to Monday/Wednesday after this week.
Fleet Feet is offering 10% off from Sunday, February 4th through Sunday, February 10th for our runners and their families so if you need new gear, go see them that week!
Hope everyone has a great weekend and see you all Monday!

Team,
We had a great first week of practice despite having to be indoors more than we would have liked. Appreciate everyone putting in the effort this week to get better given our circumstances.
Please order your team shirts!!! These orders are due Monday! You are required to purchase either a long or short sleeve black shirt. https://bit.ly/3SdyVtx
Unfortunately, it looks like a lot of rain this week. The temperatures will be warm enough for us to be outside, but we won't know whether we will be inside or outside until we see how much rain we are getting each morning. Dress in layers to be prepared for either!
Throwers are at RHS this week on Monday/Wednesday. Please meet at RHS at 7 am. Coach Brewer will have a bus to bring you back to Pearce if you are not driving your own car to practice. Jumps will start this week as well. We will be practicing jumps after school on Monday (likely in the MAC). Once we see who is interested in which jumps, we will adjust those practices. It is possible we will move some of those practices to the morning if able. Please keep an eye on our schedule and we will also announce any changes at our morning practices. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17mrcZ4Sg7VD_8SDVIflTfA-nPb5SzlZgZpCVQRzxMC8/edit#gid=0

Team,
Welcome to track season!! I can't wait to get this started and am so excited to see everyone soon! Just a reminder that our parent meeting is this Thursday at 5:45 PM in the MAC upstairs.
Our first practice will be January 16th at 6:55 am and we will meet in the MAC. You MUST have your physical and all RankOne paperwork done in order to practice. If you are in the track class period, you will be removed from the class period on January 16th if you do not have all of this completed. For this week, my 1st/2nd period track athletes will just meet me in the cafeteria at 9 am for study hall. If you are a sprinter or mid-distance runner, optional practices will be held with Coach Teeter and Coach Selfridge at 9 am in the MAC all this week. Feel free to attend those if you are in my class period.
Here is the practice schedule that will continuously be updated throughout the season (bookmark it!): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17mrcZ4Sg7VD_8SDVIflTfA-nPb5SzlZgZpCVQRzxMC8/edit#gid=0. This is also posted in our Google Classroom as well as our website if you ever lose the link.

Good morning!
If you are receiving this email, your student was either on the track team last year or has expressed interest in joining us this year.
We have a parent meeting on January 11th at 5:45 pm upstairs in the MAC. I have linked our informational PowerPoint from our track meeting that we had with the athletes at the beginning of December. I have also updated our website at pearcetrack.weebly.com with more information.
Please be sure your athlete has a physical filled out by a doctor and their richardsonisd.rankonesport.com online forms filled out prior to our first practice on January 16th. If your athlete is in the track class period and does not have this complete prior to that date, they will be removed from the class period. Please let me know if you need a copy of the physical.
Lastly, I am going to send a 2nd email through Membership Toolkit right after this. If you receive that email, you are all signed up to receive our future emails. If you don’t receive that email, please create an account at pearceathletics.org and be sure to select track as one of your child’s sports. That will get you signed up for future emails.
Looking forward to getting started!! See you all January 11th!
