Here is the schedule for the week: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17mrcZ4Sg7VD_8SDVIflTfA-nPb5SzlZgZpCVQRzxMC8/edit#gid=0
If you are not going to Regionals, we need your uniform returned ASAP. It does not have to be clean as we will do a load of laundry this week at the school. You can return your bag and uniform to Coach Stickler in the weight room on Monday before school or you can return it to one of the track/football coaches during the football period if you are a football player. We really need these back!!
Let me know if you have any questions.

April 6th
Team,
First off, wow, thank you all so much for the generous baby gifts! This baby boy is already feeling so much love! I truly love getting to work with my athletes and families every day and know that I have the best out there. Can't wait to share pictures of baby boy when he arrives. Thank you!!
On Wednesday, our very own Charis Whittington will be signing her letter of intent to run at Texas Tech at 8:15 am in the MAC along with other Pearce athletes. I would love for our team to come out and support her that morning! We will not have practice that morning due to district so all should be able to attend and celebrate her!
Here is our schedule for next week: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17mrcZ4Sg7VD_8SDVIflTfA-nPb5SzlZgZpCVQRzxMC8/edit#gid=0
Here is the meet information for District on April 12 and 13 (very slight changes have been made): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1al7-eUXa3qw0VbC6PsLM7OgiQyfI3KuF/view?usp=sharing. All athletes will need to return their uniforms and bags as they sign out or when we return to the school (unless they qualify for Area).
Let me know if you have any questions or email houston.griffith@risd.org. And with that, I begin my maternity leave! I'll be watching the live stream of district at home next week and cannot wait to see how well our athletes finish up their season! I am so proud of them!

I am going to send out a separate email with a lot of details on the media guide. Let me know if you have any questions about that.
Here is the schedule for the next two weeks: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17mrcZ4Sg7VD_8SDVIflTfA-nPb5SzlZgZpCVQRzxMC8/edit#gid=0. Hope everyone enjoyed their Spring Break! We are looking forward to being back together and getting in these last couple weeks of training before district. Here is our schedule this week: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17mrcZ4Sg7VD_8SDVIflTfA-nPb5SzlZgZpCVQRzxMC8/edit#gid=0
This Friday, our varsity team will go to the Mesquite Relays. Remember, some of our JV athletes will be moved up for this meet as we will have some open spots due to some varsity athletes going to Jesuit. Here is the info for the Mesquite meet: https://pearceathletics.membershiptoolkit.com/assets/00197/Track/MISD_Invitational_2023__2___1_.docx. We will get the Jason's Deli boxed lunches again for anyone on the first bus that wants one for $10.
We will talk to any athletes that we plan to sign up for Jesuit on Monday. Athletes will NOT compete in both the Mesquite and Jesuit meet, it will be one or the other. The girls meet is very limited at Jesuit and we will know Monday night which of our girls have made it in. Here is all the info for the Jesuit meet: https://jesuitsheanerrelays.com/. With us not taking a full team to Jesuit, we are asking that parents provide transportation to this meet if possible. If not, let us know ASAP so we can arrange a bus for that. The 3200 is on Friday and all other events are on Saturday.
Seniors, as you are applying for scholarships, don't forget to apply for the Pearce Community Women's League scholarship titled Gregg Larimer scholarship. This scholarship is specifically for track/cross country athletes. Here is the info to apply for all the PCWL scholarships: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1s8HDGkSSyDmBjOvVXmnJm71I2KsSenBf/view.

Here are the results from our meet on Friday in Lewisville: https://www.athletic.net/TrackAndField/meet/478714/results. Our athletes competed very well and a lot of PRs were achieved. Charis Whittington also broke a 12 year-old Pearce record in the 800 with a time of 2:19.
We will not practice this week due to Spring Break. Here are workouts to complete on your own: https://pearceathletics.membershiptoolkit.com/assets/00197/Track/Spring_Break_Workouts.pdf Please make sure you are working out on your own as we are a month away from district and don't want to lose the progress we've made this season.
Coach Selfridge will be at the track at 10 am tomorrow if any vaulters or hurdlers would like to come up and work with him.
Here is our schedule for the next two weeks: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17mrcZ4Sg7VD_8SDVIflTfA-nPb5SzlZgZpCVQRzxMC8/edit#gid=0. Team,
As shared on SportsYou, the Spring Sports Kickoff is canceled tonight as we all try to process the passing of Coach Aaron Stickler. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers. His wife, Tiffany, is one of our track coaches. On Wednesday night from 4-8, Altitude on Campbell is hosting a fundraiser for them. All proceeds will go to their family. This is a great way for our kids to help them.
The schedule for the meet this week has been slightly altered. Please see the updated schedule attached: updated_bulldog_relays_schedule_.pdf.

Week of February 20th
Team,
We are really proud of how the team competed over the last two days. I know they were some long, cold days, but we still were able to come out with good times and even two broken records! Our girls Sprint Medley Relay (Emmy Gardner, Kinley Gardner, Avery Mainz, and Charis Whittington) broke the Pearce record by about 14 seconds with a time of 4:31. Our boys 4x800 Relay (Benjamin Davenport, Hudson Joseph, Finn Boylan, and Noah Roemer) broke the Pearce record by 16 seconds with a time of 8:03 and a 2nd place finish. Here are the results from the meet for all divisions and events: http://milesplit.live/meets/501193/events
This week, we will compete in the RISD All-City Meet at RHS on Thursday. Here is the meet info: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1DVDFaTSWe3D8bjpVP7t7y4iyw7mtjxjBau3gEwDqsl4/edit. Due to no school Monday, we will not practice Monday and we have changed field event and weight room schedules this week. We also have some changes due to hosting a junior high meet Wednesday after school (will need some athlete volunteers to help run off the meet). Please look carefully at the schedule this week for these changes and for bus leave times for Thursday: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17mrcZ4Sg7VD_8SDVIflTfA-nPb5SzlZgZpCVQRzxMC8/edit#gid=0
On Friday morning, we will have team pictures on the track at 7:50 am. Athletes needs to wear their blue team shirt and black shorts or pants. If they did not purchase a team shirt, please have them wear a royal blue Pearce shirt. I have a couple extra team shirts for purchase for $25. Athletes can wear a uniform or their team shirt for their individual photos. I will hand out order forms this week that need to be turned in when we take pictures or you can purchase pictures after receiving a proof in a couple weeks.
We bring snacks and drinks to the meets each week and ask for a one time $10 donation per athlete to help offset these costs. If you have not paid the $10 yet, you can do that here: https://pearceathletics.membershiptoolkit.com/packet/83660
Enjoy your day off tomorrow and see everyone Tuesday morning!

Team,
We are really proud of how the team competed over the last two days.
Week of February 13th
Team,
As coaches, we really enjoyed watching the athletes compete last night and see where we are at. Thank you all so much for making sure everyone was signed out the right way and for representing our program well at our first meet. The results from last night are posted in our Google Classroom.
We are looking forward to this next week as we have a big meet at Ron Poe Stadium in McKinney on both Friday and Saturday. Here is the schedule for that meet: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1WPqZJEIlxqV3bQCrdiRsgYpEN_kKhpyaBO3RMvTKK60/edit Please let us know ASAP if you cannot attend one or both days as this meet takes a lot of planning. We will hand out uniforms next week to those attending the meet after we have finalized entries.
Our field event athletes will load the bus at 8 am on Friday. Our 3200, 4x800, and 1600 will come load the bus after A lunch on Friday. Anyone competing on Saturday will need to be loading the bus at 8 am. We will bring snacks, waters, and Gatorades for the athletes, but athletes will likely need to bring additional snacks/money for concessions as it is a long day both days.
Here is the schedule for the next two weeks: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17mrcZ4Sg7VD_8SDVIflTfA-nPb5SzlZgZpCVQRzxMC8/edit#gid=0
Please save the date for our Spring Sports Kickoff as track will be recognized at the event. It will be on February 27th at 6 pm in the Pearce gym.
Let me know if you have any questions and looking forward to a fun week!

Week of February 6th
Team,
Well that was an interesting week, but hope everyone enjoyed sleeping in and getting some rest. This week we have a practice meet at RHS on Thursday. Here are the details for that meet: rhs_jjp_dual_meet.pdf. All of our athletes who are academically eligible and attend all practices this week (or have only approved absences) will get to compete on Thursday. We will not issue uniforms for this meet since it is a practice meet. Please wear a Pearce shirt when competing at this meet. We will post an event sheet on Tuesday in the locker rooms and on Google classroom.
Here is the schedule for this week including leave times for the RHS Dual: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17mrcZ4Sg7VD_8SDVIflTfA-nPb5SzlZgZpCVQRzxMC8/edit#gid=0. All athletes will ride the bus to RHS. We will provide a bus back to Pearce at the conclusion of the meet. If you are leaving with a parent from the meet, you MUST sign out with Coach Stickler at long jump and you must have a transportation form on file. The transportation form is in Google Classroom under Classwork and then Resources if you have not filled one out yet and would like to. It is very important that athletes sign out if leaving so we can ensure all athletes are accounted for.
Please let me know if you have any questions! Looking forward to a full week together!

Team,
This email is coming out a little early because TONIGHT is the deadline to order your team gear! We do ask that every athlete purchases the team shirt as this is what we wear to meets over our uniform and it is what we will wear for our team photo. The options are shirts #3, 9, or 11. All other items are optional. Here is the link: https://fancloth.shop/FMCZU
Athletes, if you are going to miss practice for any reason at all, you must email myself or your event coach in advance. If you forget, please follow up with us ASAP. Athletes missing practice will not get to compete in our meets.
Fleet Feet on Campbell and Coit is offering our team 10% off all day on all gear/shoes on Saturday, February 4th. Their spikes have not arrived yet, but we will receive a 10% discount on those at a later date.
Here is our schedule next week: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17mrcZ4Sg7VD_8SDVIflTfA-nPb5SzlZgZpCVQRzxMC8/edit#gid=0. The weather is not looking good next week, however we will have practice every day unless for some reason there was a school cancellation. We will be in the MAC if the weather is too bad to be outdoors. Throwers will be at RHS on Tuesday/Thursday unless it is raining.
If you are not signed up for SportsYou, please join as that is how we will communicate any last minute changes with field event practices. I will also try to send something out ASAP via SportsYou in the mornings if we plan to have all runners in the MAC as I know they need to dress differently if we are indoors. The SportsYou code is TUSD-URYZ.
Have a great weekend!

Team,
It was a great first week of practice and its been fun to get back out on the track and see the talent we have this year! This week, we will start jumps practices after school on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Our throwers will practice discus at RHS on Monday and Tuesday at 7 am. I have included all of these changes in our schedule for the week.
This is a reminder for our 1st period athletes. Athletes CANNOT leave the MAC after 9:00. If you need to grab breakfast or grab something from home or go to your car after practice, you must be back by 9:00. Those who are not in the building by 9 will be counted tardy or absent.
Please purchase your team shirts and any other spiritwear by this Friday at midnight! For your team shirt, you can purchase item #3, 9, or 11. All athletes need to have a team shirt for meets and team pictures. All other items are optional. Here is the link: https://fancloth.shop/FMCZU

Team,
Hope everyone has enjoyed their 3-day weekend! Just wanted to send some quick reminders for practices this week.
We will practice every morning at 6:55 this week. 1st period track will also have weight room at 8:45 on Wednesday. There will be no after school practices this week. We will start the jumper after school practices next week.
If you need a locker, please bring a lock with you tomorrow at 6:40 am and we will assign you a locker. The doors to the MAC will be open no later than 6:40. Football players will meet in the MAC at 6:55 for attendance and then will head out to the track. All other track athletes will meet outside at the track at 6:55.
Practices are optional for basketball players until their season concludes. Please let me know if you are a basketball player and plan to compete in track just so we know to expect you later on. Soccer, softball, and baseball athletes can miss track practice on their game days. I have copies of those game schedules, so no need to communicate those dates with us.
Lastly, here is our schedule that will update automatically at this link throughout the season: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17mrcZ4Sg7VD_8SDVIflTfA-nPb5SzlZgZpCVQRzxMC8/edit#gid=0

Good morning!
Thank you to all who attended our meeting last night! I have attached all of our information from the meeting for those who weren’t able to make it and for the links needed for the practice schedule, spiritwear, physicals, etc.
As a reminder, emails will no longer be sent using this list. If you want to receive future emails, please go to pearceathletics.org to create an account. Be sure to select Track as one of your athlete’s sports and you’ll be signed up automatically. If you already have an account, log in and go to My Forms, Player/Parent Information and select track as one of your athlete’s sports. I will send out a test email today. If you receive that second email from me, you are all signed up.
I only need the Travel Form if you plan to pick up and drive your child home from track meets. I also already have forms from most of the cross country athletes, so I do not need another one from those athletes if that was turned in in the fall.
Our Fan Cloth shop is open and will close on January 27th. All athletes need to purchase their choice of either item #9 or #11 as this will be their team shirt. All other items are optional. Here is the link to that shop: https://fancloth.shop/FMCZU
Please let me know if you have any questions! We are excited to get started on Tuesday!!
